The HPE Smart Array P408i-p SR Gen10 Controller, suppting 12Gb/s SAS and PCIe 3.0, is ideal f maximizing perfmance while suppting advanced RAID levels with 2 GB flash-backed write cache (FBWC). This controller operates in Mixed Mode which combines RAID and HBA operations simultaneously. It has eight internal SAS lanes, allowing connection to SAS SATA drives, and provides enterprise-class stage perfmance, reliability, security and efficiency needed to address your evolving data stage needs. This controller offers enhanced security by encrypting data-at-rest on any drive with HPE Smart Array SR Secure Encryption.

The Gen10 controllers are suppted by the HPE Smart Stage Battery, which suppts multiple devices and is sold separately.
